How “My Juxtaposition” was born

Hello—Glad you stopped in, now pull up a chair, get comfortable, have a look around. Oh you want a cup of coffee, how would you like it? cream and sugar—no black—oh you must have worked a few midnight night shifts like I did. No coffee, how about tea? Oh you want some tequila—I’m sorry you need to visit my friend Walker, I heard a very nice friend who recently visited him brought him the best. He is a good guy and is known to share, by the way if you visit with him would you check and ask what happened to the the Red Clay Series he was writing and the Sex Talk Posts? Oh and since the weather is changing, the lemonade will return during the spring for those who might already be missing it. Are you comfortable yet? I hope so, the weather is nice, fall is in the air.

I think I have a little point to make here and I will get to it at some time—-oh I know it is about My Juxtaposition. I imagine a few of you might like to know just where this name came from and I thought before I got carried away I would share it with you.

My husband has a nack for “names” he has never shared his talent with me in the past—always with others. When it became obvious I would make some changes to things I said to him I thought it would be nice if he would share his little talent with me for a domain name.

One morning while we were having coffee he said something to me about the name Juxtaposition. I thought he said Justaposition—-we had a few laughs over things.

Not about to let Sweet Hubby know he really had me there, I said why Juxtaposition—-well he knew he had me. He reads me well. one look and he reads me. He was pretty quick to say go look it up. It is perfect for you—-you are always doing it with your life. Quickly I was off to check it out—Now don’t tell him, never mind, he is reading this, seldom is he wrong. Bingo! Right, again!

Definitions of Juxtaposition when using Google are as follows:

Places things of unequal importance side by side. It brings all the things down to the lowest level of importance on the list.

To place two different things side by side.

The conscious positioning or arranging of objects.

The act of placing side by side, especially for comparison or contrast. (Seems to be used primarily when talking about literary form?)

The placing side by side of images or statements intended to produce an emotional or political point. For example, when editing together images and sound to make a specific point.

The act of placing or positioning items in the image area side by side or next to one another to illustrate some comparison.

Placing contrasting items side by side for comparison and new message as in an oxymoron.

A poetic and rhetorical device in which normally unassociated ideas, words, or phrases are placed next to one another.

The act of positioning close together (or side by side); “it is the result of the juxtaposition of contrasting colors”

A side-by-side position

Juxtaposition is an act or instance of placing two things close together or side by side. This is often done in order to compare/contrast the two, to show similarities or differences, etc.

He was so right I am always comparing my life to before the Multiple Sclerosis and after the Multiple Sclerosis. Some days I think I have accepted it and deal with it and other days I know I have not and am full of anger. Yes it was a great name—-

It was not to be the domain Juxtaposition was taken but My Juxtaposition was not. It is more appropriate because this is my place, it is about my life, this is where I I strive to be true to myself and come to terms with the “before ” and the “after”begin to live in the present.

Now before I close there is one more little tid bit of information—Cara is an Irish Female name for friend and my ancestors are from Ireland.

Today, I’ll end with a quote from Dwight Moody “I have had more trouble with myself than with any other person I’ve met

On the other hand I need to think on that one because there have been a few people that have caused me trouble.

Thanks for spending time and sharing with me as we continue to experience life.

Later.

It’s a good thing you remembered about the lemonade ;-) I still claim that I am innocent of stealing Mike’s lemonade.

There is no question about whose side I am on when it comes to you.

I need to admit something to you - when you told me what you were naming this site… you know how my mind works, right? … I thought it was a new sex position that I was missing out on. *snortle*

I just love it here and I love you, my friend. I can feel that you really are home here.

Sure, pick on the sick guy and give away his tequila.

I like the name, it it it ..sounds like sex.
Shut up Karen.

Your husband has a good way with names like the one he calls you

I am working on the red clay but if you and your sisters, you know who they are, want a sex talk, a little insperation might help

Thanks for thinkin’ about the weather while I was gone, Cara. Luckily, we missed it by going to Pensacola on
Wednesday. And, thankfully we found our way around without too much trouble. Hope you’re doing as well as can be expected. I send you love and friendship. ((HUGS))

Hi Cara, I have tried clicking on your name after you left a comment, but was never able to reach your blog. Today, while reading another blog I saw your name listed in their list and clicked on it, and here I finally am. I always wanted to thank you for your nice comments and now I can, so Thank You for visiting my blog and for leaving comments.

I enjoyed reading your posts. Also like the Title. Your outlook on life is encouraging. Makes me want to do better with my life. I read the article about hopes for the future and hope they find a lot more to help people with health problems. Sounds encouraging.
The way you mention your husband shows the love and respect you have for each other.

I’m extremely sorry, Cara. I’ve been “out of it” all day! Sometimes, we just have to do what we have to do, to recharge. I’m babysitting tomorrow night, but after that I’ll be home! Thank you for believing in me like I believe in you. Love you!!
